Tee's Space Station Success

Final year astro student Tee (Tejal) Thakore has gained a place on the prestigious 2010 Space Station Design Workshop (SSDW) organised by the Institute of Space Systems of the University of Stuttgart in Germany. The SSDW is an environment for the multidisciplinary conceptual design of space stations and other orbital infrastructure.
Humble LRC opening for Hurricane hero

TV presenter Kate Humble has opened the new library at Roehampton Vale which is named in honour of Sir Sydney Camm – the engineering genius behind the Hawker Hurricane. Humble, whose grandfather worked with Sir Sydney as chief test pilot for the Hawker Aircraft company during World War II, discovered her aviation heritage when she was the subject of the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are?
